Ramadan Kareem! On behalf of
KASP, I would like to wish you all a happy and blessed month. It would be an
understatement to say we are experiencing unusual times. The COVID-19 pandemic
has caused more disruption to the world economy than experienced since WWII. It
has equally devastated the lives of many who lost loved ones or had to face
financial hardship as a result of lost income and uncertainty.
We at KASP are doing our
part to weather the storm. The sudden change in work patterns necessitated
quick action to ensure the safety of our employees and avoid any disruption or
impact on the valuable services we provide to our customers. KASP was early to
recognize the need to ensure the ability of each team member to remain
productive from the safety of their homes. Fast and reliable internet
connectivity was provided to team members ahead of the curfew and provisions
for secure connections were made to on-premise and cloud-based servers and
resources. We also adjusted our service delivery methodology and tools to
accommodate our offshore partners and ensure their contribution reaches the
same levels achieved while on-site in Kuwait. This meant longer hours spent by
the core KASP staff to ensure this model gets established quickly and
effectively. I’m now happy to report that all of our business intelligence (BI)
and ERP implementation and support projects are proceeding according to
schedule and customer expectations. These include 3 major Oracle Fusion ERP
implementations at Boodai Trading Company, Atlas Commercial and Hilal Cement;
all due to complete by November 2020.
During this difficult time,
our relationships with our long-established customers have never been stronger.
We conducted several free training webinars and continued to provide our
services in accordance with the limits on work hours and remote access rules.
I’m honored and grateful for the appreciation and support we received from our
customers in return.
Finally, I would like to
extend my deepest respect and gratitude to all of my colleagues at KASP for the
adjustments they were able to grasp with amazing speed and proficiency. They
are among the most competent, dedicated and respectful group of people I have
ever encountered during my long career.
Stay safe and God bless you all.
